This advanced intermediate woodwind quintet digital download arrangement of Alexander Borodin's "Polovtsian Dances Overture" from his opera Prince Igor, an orchestral showpiece, is a fun challenge for advanced ensembles. This transcription of an iconic Romantic Era work is a great opener or closer for a recital, and perfect for contests, competitions, weddings, special events, and graduations, and is a perennial favorite among orchestral winds.

This arrangement was written for college and professional quintets. There is an optional percussion part (tambourine); the piece works well either way. I have also included an alternate bass clarinet part in lieu of a missing bassoon. Originally scored for a full orchestra, I hope you enjoy this transcription of Borodin’s masterwork in orchestration.
