Fučík: Florentiner March - for Woodwind Quintet
ISMN#979-0-3071-0043-5
ASCAP WORK ID# 925552656
This advanced intermediate woodwind quintet arrangement of Julius Fučík's Florentiner March is originally an Italian symphonic march from the early 20th century, a standard concert band work known to many music students, and a great part of the international band repertoire. This transcription of a Romantic Era work is perfect for recitals, contests, competitions, graduations, weddings, ceremonies, and background-dinner-music gigs. It is a short, engaging piece that can break up a long program and give the ears a brief hiatus from some of the heavier pieces on the program.
This arrangement was written for advanced high school and college ensembles and professional groups. I have included an alternate bass clarinet part in lieu of a missing bassoon. Bring a taste of Europe to your special music events with this band classic transformed here into a charming woodwind quintet.
If you'd like to save 40%, click here to buy this March as part of my collection: Three European Marches, along with Davide Delle Cese's "L'Inglesina," and Josef F. Wagner's "Under the Double Eagle."
CMP Blog Post 12 delves into my inspiration behind writing this new arrangement for woodwind quintet of Delle Cese’s classic symphonic march. It also features some fun music trivia about all three pieces included in Three European Marches. Click here to read all about it on my CMP Blog Page.
